Our nurses are an essential part of the Karuna-maya Medicine team. We are extremely fortunate to have them here to help with chronic disease management, immunisations, health checks, wound care and general health advice.
Anne
Anne is a dedicated nurse who began her career at Geelong University Hospital before advancing her skills at The Alfred, where she completed her Critical Care training. With extensive experience across Europe and the USA, she has worked in medical device management focusing on artificial hearts and deep brain stimulators. Anne has a passion for cardiac care and diabetes management, alongside a commitment to immunisations, mental health support, and effective pain management.
Residing on the stunning Surf Coast with her young family, Anne loves spending her spare time biking, enjoying the beach, and exploring new places, including memorable trips overseas. Her diverse experiences and personal interests fuel her to seek continual education to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients.
Denise
Denise is a Canadian trained Registered Nurse and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including rural and regional hospitals, cardiac rehab, community nursing and hospital in the home. She is a certified health coach and yoga instructor and enjoys promoting holistic health and wellness in the clinic.
Denise is interested in wound care, care plans, health assessments and childhood immunisations. In addition, she enjoys working with children, and coaching those who wish to make positive changes in their health.
Outside of work, Denise enjoys yoga, Pilates, paddleboarding and outdoor activities with her young family.
Millie
Millie is a dedicated nurse with a diverse background in health care. She graduated from ACU and began her nursing career at the Alfred Hospital in the burn’s unit, where she developed a solid foundation of wound management and patient recovery. She then moved to the Emergency Department, gaining valuable experience in acute care and crisis management.
Millie has also worked in fertility nursing, where her passion for women’s health began. She is deeply committed to empowering individuals to advocate for their health, providing education and compassionate care.
Millie has a passion for women’s health, wound management, and holistic wellness.
Outside of work Millie likes to enjoy the beach, spending time with her young family, seeing live music and enjoying good food.
Miranda
Miranda is a dedicated nurse with a diverse background in healthcare. She has experience in emergency nursing and renal dialysis, developing strong skills in acute care, patient education and chronic disease management.
She has a particular interest in wound management and providing compassionate, patient-centred care. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with patients and supporting them to achieve their best health outcomes.
Outside of work, Miranda enjoys living on the Surf Coast with her young family. She loves running, reading and spending quality time with her family.
